Pottery Slip Casting

Service Description

In this class you will learn slip casting a popular technique to create pottery pieces in a mould. It involves pouring a liquid clay material, known as slip, into a mould which then absorbs the liquid and forms a solid clay body. The mould is carefully filled with slip and after it has hardened, it is carefully removed from the mould to leave the desired shape.
